In Chain of Alliance players act as Archons, messengers between the gods and the world. They influence the game world with the help of Heroes they control. Each Archon has a Player Level, unlocking knowledge, content and gameplay options based on player engagement and progression.

In the dawn of existence, the world was barren and empty, until the spark of Conscious Will pierced the darkness. Conscious Will shaped the realms of the Physical World and brought forth the Gods to govern it. But soon the Gods realized that the World was still too large and too empty for a handful of them. So each God and Goddess decided to create sentient beings in their own image. The world shuddered under the weight of the Gods' conflict. Witnessing the once-peaceful lands descend into chaos, the Conscious Will intervened. It created the Archons - powerful champions untainted by the Gods' squabbles. These beings embodied wisdom and bravery, and they were tasked with restoring balance and harmony to the world.

Heroes

Heroes are the core asset of Chain of Alliance and key to every relevant feature of the game. Players use Heroes to impact the world. Only by using Heroes can they earn commodities for progression.

Equipment

Equipment improves the Hero's combat power with additional properties. Armor parts and weapons add damage and damage mitigation. They allow customization of Heroes' battle behavior and allow for unique strategies that fit the player's Hero and his party.

Skills System

Chain of Alliance offers a flexible system where every Hero can be equipped with 4 skills. Two of them depending on weapon(s) or shield loadout and two Class dependent skills are chosen from a pool unique to each Class.

Battles

Combat in Chain of Alliance is turn-based, putting parties of 3 against each other. After battles players receive rewards based on their performance. Those rewards include all components needed to summon Heroes and craft Equipment.

Battle Ranks

The Battle Rank is a season based performance indicator that is reset at the end of each season. Players climb the Battle Ranks by participating in PVP battles and earning battle points. The player will unlock Tags showcasing their experience and performance throughout a season. Battle Ranks are grouped in tiers, with each tier having a specific set of rules for climbing the tier based leaderboard.

Tournaments (tba)

By completing weekly quests the player can receive tickets to participate in tournaments, alternatively, they can also pay an entry fee to take part. Tournaments are set up as an 8 player single loss tournament where players can participate at given time slots. Attending and winning tournaments can reward the player with dedicated rewards such as Hero Souls.

Quests (tba)

The Chain of Alliance Quest System creates regular challenges, asking for dedicated actions in order to be completed. In contrast to Battle rewards, Quests offer specific rewards such as Material and Hero XP boosters, consumables for expeditions or tickets for participation in tournaments.

Expeditions (tba)

Expeditions are a fully on-chain game mode in which players send parties of 3 Heroes on an epic quest for dedicated rewards, such as unique items and expedition artifacts, not to be found in any other game mode. During the expedition, Heroes are locked and cannot be used in PvP or other game modes until they return.
